Pre-event set up

Assistance with ride week preparation will involve organizing registration materials, event errands and set up preparation.

Rider Package Pickup

Rider check-in and ride package distribution. Includes friendly greeting and interaction with Riders, organizing package content, set-up and tear down, etc.

Venue setup at Start Line, Vancouver

Set up start line area including start line, course, parking, etc.

Venue setup at Mid-Point, Squamish

Set up Medio start in Squamish and mid-point Aid Station. Includes set up start line, refreshments, entertainment, course, parking, etc.

Venue set up at Finish Line, Whistler

Set up Finish Line and Celebration Plaza in Whistler Village. Includes setting up structures, merchandise area, refreshments, riders swag, parking and traffic marshalling, etc.

Baggage Check

Volunteers will assist with setting up the bag check area, warmly greet riders and accept personal belongings, and ensure that the bag is properly identified and stored in the area.

Timer

Assisting the timing team with the set-up/tear down of the timing equipment and with all other related activities. 

Event Marshal

To control course access points (pedestrians, cyclists, etc) with a focus on public safety, and to be generally involved in the creation of this spectacular event.

Medics (Roving and Static at SPUD.ca Aid Stations)

Roving medics will be on bikes to assess and treat minor ailments of the cycling participants while cycling the course route. MD/OAF2 and 3/OEC/ski patrol skills are preferred; however we will consider other qualifications. 

Static medical volunteers will treat medical ailments of the cyclists at the Aid Stations located along the GranFondo cycling course. OAF2 and 3/OEC/ski patrol skills are preferred; however we will consider other qualifications.

Volunteers must show documentation of qualifications.

SPUD.ca Aid Stations

Rest stop for riders, SPUD.ca Aid Stations will provide refreshments, medical and mechanical assistance. Includes set up of refreshment tables, shelter, and general area as well as tear down.
